I am just back from the North Island of New Zealand. The two islands are very different from one another. The south island is more mountainous and rainy while the north is hilly and warmer. When I arrived in Auckland on the north Island I joined photographers and artists Dawn Kish and Gavin Wilson just arriving from the states. The ensuing road trip lasted eight days and was a photographers dream. I won't bore you with all the details of what we did, but I have included a photo album of many of the places we visited and photographed.
The highlights up north were the Coromandal Peninsula, Lake Taupo and the volcanoes. We also spent a few days on the northern tip of the South Island. There the highlight was the über cool coastline and Able Tasman National Park. Click this link to view the photo album "8 days across New Zealand"
